Douglas 'Doug' Arthur Plummer, 62

Douglas “Doug” Arthur Plummer, 62, of Smelterville, Idaho, passed away June 15, 2022, at his home in Smelterville. He was born May 31, 1960, in Milton Freewater, Ore. Doug was the son of Art and Janice (Red) Plummer.

Doug has lived in the Silver Valley all of his life. He proudly served in the U.S. Army.

After the Army, Doug worked at the Bunker Hill Mining Company Zinc Plant in Kellogg.

Doug loved and enjoyed fishing, writing and listening to music of all kinds.

Doug is survived by five sons, Josh and Brandon Dodson, Jeffery, Patrick and Justin Plummer; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild; one sister, Teressa Webberding of Smelterville; and one brother, Jeff Plummer of Spring Creek, Nev. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Doug was preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of Doug’s life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 9, 2022, at the Wheel Bar in Smelterville; everyone is welcome.

The family suggests memorials may be made to the Shriners Children's Hospital, 911 W. Fifth Ave., Spokane, WA 99204.
