Penny Lynn Morrison, 59
Penny Lynn Morrison, 59, of Spokane Valley, Wash., loving mother, sister and friend, passed away July 20, 2022, at Hospice House in Spokane. Penny was born on Dec. 18, 1962, in Kellogg, Idaho, a daughter of Jess Morrison and Linda Peterson.
Penny attended local schools in Kellogg and later attended Spokane Community College, where she received a degree in photography.
Throughout the years, Penny worked numerous jobs in the area, mainly in the hospitality industry. She most recently managed Starbucks on the campus of Gonzaga University. She provided for her family and was a proud mom to her two daughters, Trisha and Jordan. Penny enjoyed photography, arts and crafts, berry picking, especially huckleberries, playing tennis, watching Gonzaga basketball, watching Hallmark Channel's movies, floating the river, being at the beach with her grandkids, spending countless vacations at the ocean, looking for sand dollars and above all, loved her family.
Penny loved to live life to the fullest! Penny’s love for her Lord and Savior carried her through some difficult times in her life and it was her faith in God that remained strong, even in her last moments.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Linda Peterson.
Survivors include her two daughters, Trisha Bailey of Spokane Valley and Jordan (Tayler) McNett of Liberty Lake, Wash.; three brothers, Wayne Morrison of Rathdrum, Idaho, Cliff Morrison of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Jimmy Morrison of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; a sister, Joee Peterson of Kellogg; five grandchildren, Hailey, Chloe and Jackie Mays, and Georgia and Carson McNett (and another grandchild on the way); her father, Jess (Dale) Morrison of Osburn, Idaho; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.

Graveside services for Penny will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at Shoshone Memorial Gardens in Kingston, Idaho.
