Area seniors once again see strong scholarship numbers

| June 2, 2022 1:37 PM

Nearly half a million dollars were awarded this year for graduating students from Kellogg, Wallace and Mullan.

Each of the schools has held special awards ceremonies over the past two weeks as they prepared for graduation — Mullan and Wallace held its graduations last weekend, while Kellogg’s seniors will wrap up their year on Saturday.

The scholarships ranged from generous local entities all the way to special scholarships from specific colleges and universities like North Idaho College (NIC) and the University of Idaho (U of I).

The seniors at Kellogg High School pulled in $143,904, although at the time of publishing there were a few more scholarships that were pending, so the dollar amount almost certainly increased.

Here are the winners and the amounts for KHS (some students and parents wished to have the amounts kept private).
