Limited 'Golden Tickets' grant lifetime of North Idaho State Fair fun

| June 8, 2022 5:00 AM

COEUR d’ALENE — For a limited time, North Idaho State Fair-goers will have the option to purchase a Golden Ticket for lifetime admission to the largest fair in North Idaho. All proceeds from Golden Ticket sales will go to funding a new, much-needed Livestock Building at the Kootenai County Fairgrounds.

“With this year being the 100th Anniversary of the North Idaho State Fair, it felt fitting to do something big for our community and the future of our fair by offering the Golden Ticket opportunity,” said North Idaho State Fair General Manager Alexcia Jordan. “Looking to the next 100 years, the goal for this program is to pave the way for the future and continued growth of our community’s 4-H and FFA programs.”

As the North Idaho State Fair continues to grow, the available barn space for livestock at the Kootenai County Fairgrounds has shrunk significantly. The new Livestock Building would alleviate that problem and provide the additional space needed to house 4-H and FFA competitors’ animals. The North Idaho State Fair is the home of the largest 4-H program in the state, with the 4-H sale bringing in over $1.1 million in revenue last year. Recognition for Golden Ticket holders’ support for the new building will be prominently displayed at the entrance of the new building.

Golden Tickets will cost $1,000 and will be limited to only 250 sales. The purchase not only includes lifetime admission to the fair, it also includes being listed as a supporter on the front entrance of the future Livestock Building, as well as extra VIP perks from the North Idaho State Fair. Golden Tickets will be available for purchase online at www.NISFair.fun.

The internationally-recognized, award-winning fair located right here in Coeur d’Alene has been showcasing the community’s talents and bringing exceptional entertainment to Kootenai County families since the very first fair was held 100 years ago on Sept. 29, 1922, in Worley. The fair has kept agricultural education, youth programs and unique rural charm at its forefront since the very beginning.

About the North Idaho State Fair: The North Idaho State Fair centennial fair themed ‘Salute to a Century’ will run Aug. 19-28.
