Lynn Marie (Schroeder) Maciosek, 67
Lynn Marie (Schroeder) Maciosek, 67, of Pinehurst, Idaho, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, passed away peacefully June 10, 2022, at Kootenai Health in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, following a brief illness. Lynn was born on April 5, 1955, in Kellogg, Idaho, a daughter of the late Carl Schroeder and Lois Newman Schroeder.
Lynn attended local schools and graduated from Kellogg High School, Class of 1973. She met the love of her life in the ninth grade, Frank Maciosek, and they were married in 1974. Lynn was a teacher at Pinehurst Elementary School for 28 years prior to her retirement in 2017. After her retirement, Lynn was able to do what she loved most, being a full-time Grandma.
She enjoyed camping at their river property on the St. Joe, traveling and reading books, but the things she loved the most were attending her grandchildren’s extracurricular activities and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, Lynn is preceded in death by her father and mother-in law, and special aunt, Sammie Newman.
She will be deeply missed by her husband, Frank Maciosek of Pinehurst; two sons, Andy (Stacy) Maciosek and Matt (Steffanie) Maciosek, both of Pinehurst; one daughter, Cassie (Brock) White of Pinehurst; nine grandchildren, Sydney Maciosek (Ryle Nelson), Kolton and Kelan Maciosek, Boden and Macie Glindeman, and Ryken, Talan, Scarlett and Everly White, all of Pinehurst; stepmother Dolores Schroeder of Pinehurst; two brothers, Rick (Tain) Schroeder of Rathdrum, ID and Dale (Kate) Schroeder of Post Falls, Idaho; one sister, Carla (Craig) Ross of Pinehurst; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of Lynn’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 18, 2022, at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Pinehurst. A luncheon will follow the services at the church. Lynn’s family suggests memorials be made to the Pinehurst PTA or to any local food bank.
