Officers from multiple agencies execute search warrant

PINEHURST — Law enforcement officers from multiple agencies successfully executed a search warrant Friday morning in the Lookout Peak condos of Pinehurst.

The search team consisted of a multi-jurisdictional task force including Pinehurst Police Department, Shoshone County Sheriff's Office, and detectives from the Kootenai County Sheriff's Office.

While the severity of the crime and the scope of the evidence that was collected is not being released at this time, PPD Chief John Richter reports that officers collected items tied to multiple surrounding states.

Kootenai County Detectives obtained the search warrant based upon investigations into several different thefts that began in their jurisdiction and requested assistance from our local agencies to serve the warrant.

While no further information will be provided at this time, any forthcoming details of the search and any follow up investigation will be made available to the Shoshone News-Press.
