WALLACE — Mountain West Bank (MWB) is set to open its new location in Wallace and are excited to announce Gina Doerschel as the new branch manager.

Doerschel has 10 years of banking experience as a universal banker, sales and service coordinator, and branch manager.

“I feel honored to have been chosen for the position, and excited to be a part of something that is such a big deal to the community of Wallace. It feels good to be with a bank who wants to be there, and I’m really looking forward to the journey,” Doerschel said.

Doerschel has a history of giving back to her community of the Silver Valley. She currently serves as a board member and treasurer of Shoshone County Crisis and Resource Center, a board member of Silver Valley Economic Development Corporation, and treasurer of Kellogg Project Uplift. She also serves on multiple Kellogg School District committees and the KHS Class of 2022 Senior Parents.

“I believe the experience that led me here is obviously my time in banking, even more importantly are my ties to the Silver Valley. I am a valley native, but in addition to that, I spent six years working in Wallace prior to banking, so I know the dynamics of Wallace, and I’m excited to see all of those familiar faces again!”

The Wallace branch of MWB is expected to be open for business in May 2022 after receiving regulatory approval, installing an ATM, installing signage and adding data/telecommunications connections to the building. MWB will be located in the historic First National Bank of Wallace building at 419 Sixth St. This new branch will offer business and personal deposit accounts, consumer loans, home loans, business loans and other business banking services.

“Gina brings a wealth of market knowledge and customer service experience to lead our expansion into the Silver Valley,” said Mountain West Bank President and CEO Scott Anderson. “We are thrilled to welcome her to the team.”
