KSAC to host first Spring Craft Fair
KELLOGG — Shake off those winter blues and jump into spring; the Kellogg Senior Activity Center (KSAC) will be hosting its first Spring Craft Fair.
“I’m so excited! We will have all kinds of items for sale. It’s so to see the variety of items being sold. There will be a very wide selection. Not just one thing. All proceeds will be going back to benefiting the activity center,” said event coordinator Mary Lou Pleas.
Local vendors will be selling their wares, with sellers also coming from Spokane, Post Falls and Deer Park.
The fair currently has 15 vendors with various items, from wood making to crochet, fabrics to food items. There will also be fresh baked goods and delicious desserts available for purchase.
KSAC is also holding a raffle with many different prizes able to be won. Tickets can be bought prior to the event at KSAC, or the fair. Tickets for the raffle are $1 apiece or 6 for $5.
Prizes for the raffle include a basket filled with supplies that the different vendors will provide. Thirty-One bags has created a summer-themed bag, including towels, flip flops and sunscreen, making it the perfect bag for the beach.
Local quilter Lee Summers will be providing a beautiful orange handmade quilt. In addition, TOPS Club Inc. has created a basket built by Marilyn Wood, which includes a gorgeous necklace.
Coffee and tea will be provided for customers as they peruse the different selection of vendors.
KSAC is an activity center made to benefit, support, and provide activities for the community’s senior citizens and their families to enjoy. Activities include a weekly Friday night dance from 7-10 p.m.
The event will take place Saturday, April 9, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Kellogg Senior Center located at 211 McKinley Ave. W. in Kellogg.
