The date of the District's special election is May 17, 2022. The total existing bonded indebtedness of the District, including accrued interest, is $583,860. The interest rate anticipated on the proposed sewer revenue bonds, based upon available funding options, is 3.50% per annum. The total amount to be repaid over a term of forty years, principal and interest, based on the anticipated interest rate, is estimated to be $11,613,165.95, consisting of $6,200,000 in principal and $5,413,165.95 in interest. The bonds are revenue bonds, and no property tax will be levied to repay the bonds. Only those persons who at the time of the special election are registered, qualified electors shall be able to vote in the election.
