Louis “LouLou” Kneubuhler, 78
Louis “LouLou” Kneubuhler was born on July 25, 1943 in France and passed away on March 31, 2022 at the age of 78. We would like to thank the staff at South Hill Village for taking care of him while he was there. He loved to push some of the other residents in their wheelchairs. It was his way of giving them a rush while at the same time getting his exercise until one of the residents fell out of the chair and LouLou then fell over them. The resident had minor bruises and LouLou had a black eye. There was never a dull moment while he was there.
LouLou loved to travel and he and Arlette had a wonderful trip to China together; he talked about his adventures whenever he could. LouLou was a great landlord and treated everyone with respect and helped many out when times were bad. LouLou bought many properties around the Sherman and Pacific Ave area in an effort to "Clean Up" the neighborhood. He will be greatly missed. LouLou was an avid skier and enthusiast. He was a business owner, entrepreneur, and mentor to many. As a youth, he was on the French Ski Team and served 2 years in the French Army. He taught many people to ski on Magic Mountain in downtown Spokane when he re-located to the area. He volunteered for the Mt. Spokane ski patrol and helped with the plans for The Longest Gondola in the World at Silver Mountain Resort. His legacy will be forever in our hearts! He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Marie Kneubuhler, and his significant other Arlette Mohr. His remaining relatives in France are Arlette and Gilles Peccoud and Raymond Fraix. We would love for you to join us in a celebration of life at the old Magic Mountain located at 428 E Pacific Ave., Spokane, WA 99202, to commemorate this special man on Sat. May 14th, 12:00 - 4:00. Please RSVP to assist us in ensuring we have adequate food and seating by 10 May to lindamariemoody@gmail.com
