Joanne Dawn Taylor, 71

Joanne Dawn Taylor, 71, of Kingston, Idaho, passed away May 22, 2022, at her home in Kingston. Joanne was born on Nov. 10, 1950, in Webster, S.D., a daughter of the late Gordon Sauer and Donna Shand Sauer.

Joanne attended and graduated high school from Brookings (S.D.) High School in 1969. She moved to Idaho in 1971 and worked several jobs but focused mainly on being a homemaker, which she loved greatly.

She enjoyed being outdoors, especially up the North Fork of the Coeur d’Alene River. She loved her garden, growing every fruit, vegetable, herb and flower that she could at her home in Kingston.

Survivors include her longtime life partner, Steve Henry; her sons, Jerry (Danielle) Taylor of Bosque Farms, N.M., and Robert Taylor of Libby, Mont.; her grandsons, Daniel Cable and Matthew Taylor; her great-grandson, Urijah Cable; and her brothers, Dennis (Connie) Sauer of Lawton, Okla., and Fred (Cheryl) Sauer of Watertown, S.D.

Memorial services for Joanne will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 3, 2022, at Shoshone Funeral Services, 106 S. Main St., Kellogg, with Pastor Bill Howard officiating.
