KELLOGG — Put on your comfy winter garb and check out the Winter Market this Saturday in the Kellogg Middle School gymnasium.

This event is put on by the Silver Valley Chamber, coinciding with their Shop Small event and helping small business owners who do not have a storefront talk with the community and sell their wares.

“This is so important for our community, and we are incredibly excited for the Winter Market,” said Chamber Coordinator Becca Stone. “We want to make sure our members get as much business as possible during the holiday season.”

Locals can pick up their Shop Small coupon cards at the Winter Market, even having the opportunity to get some stamps filled at the different booths.

If you visit GG’s Cookies, you get a stamp if you buy five cookies (and even get one free!), hug a bunny at Bunny Huggers, or even simply say “Hi” to Paul, and Carol Roberts at Grow me a Story while sampling some home-made jelly can get you a stamp.

“It helps us use our creativity to sell items, and it helps us talk to people about what our business is all about. The Silver Valley Chamber has helped us market and advertise, which has been very helpful,” said vendor Carol Roberts.

Shoppers using a coupon card can turn in their stamped cards to the chamber by Dec. 24 to be entered into a prize drawing of locally purchased gift cards from the participating businesses.

The Winter Market will take place Saturday, Nov. 12, in the Kellogg Middle School gymnasium. Set-up is from 9-10 a.m. with the open market taking place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
