Diana C. Kuykendall, 69

Kuykendall, Diana C., 69, of the Silver Valley, Idaho, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at Kootenai Health in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. She was born July 25, 1952, in Seattle, Wash. The daughter of the late James R. Kuykendall and Carmen A. Kuykendall (Brown).

She is survived by her loving son, Michael Burgess (Cheryl) of Hayden, Idaho; loving daughter, Shannon Fay (Dennis) of Spokane, Wash.; grandchildren Carmen Curtis of Pinehurst, Idaho, Corbyn Mellon of Anchorage, Alaska, Dylan Mellon of Anchorage and Brandon Mellon of Spokane; siblings Jem Cochran (Cecilia) of Pomeroy, Wash., Russell Kuykendall of Smelterville, Idaho, Cheryl Baker (Ben) of Kennewick, Wash.; and numerous nieces and nephews along with many friends.

She lived most of her life in the Silver Valley. Diana loved to fish and adventure outdoors. You could always find her up the Coeur d’Alene River. She was a longtime caregiver to many in need. Her potato salad was amazing.

She was preceded by her son, Daniel (“Danny Jo”) Burgess; father James R. Kuykendall; mother Carmen A. Kuykendall; and brothers Michael Kevin Kuykendall, Dana Keith Kuykendall and Steven Kent Kuykendall.

There will be a celebration of life at a future date.
