Heidi Elizabeth Pennington, 56

Heidi Elizabeth Pennington, 56, of Smelterville, Idaho, passed away peacefully at her home, of which was her greatest wish, on Sept. 24, 2022. She was born Sept. 6, 1966, in Sacramento, Calif. Heidi was the daughter of Calvin J. and Patricia A. (Gavigan) McKinney.

Heidi attended schools in California and Idaho.

Heidi married the love of her life, Terry W. Pennington on June 12, 1993, in Pinehurst, Idaho.

Heidi was a homemaker. She loved her family dearly, gardening, all things nature, rock collecting and her cat — little Gracie.

Heidi is survived by her beloved husband of 29 years, Terry Pennington of the family home of Smelterville; one son, Justin A. Pennington of Oregon; her mother, Patricia A. Bishop of Hayden Lake, Idaho; one brother, Tim McKinney (Melissa) of The Dalles, Ore.; and three sisters, Teri Bouck (Eric) of Pinehurst, Tami Morgan (Drew) of Meridian, Idaho, and Teidi Gable of Coeur d’Alene. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Heidi was preceded in death by her father, Calvin McKinney.

We shall miss her infectious laughter, wit and charm. We will hold her and all of our cherished memories, within our hearts.
