Jason Jones, 36

| April 4, 2023 1:40 AM

A funeral service for Jason Jones, 36, of Dickinson, N.D., was held Thursday, March 30, 2023, at Stevenson Funeral Home in Dickinson.

Jason Jones was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend. He left this world far too soon to be with the Lord on March 27, 2023, at the young age of 36.

Jason was born in Richland, Wash., on Nov. 30, 1986. He moved to North Idaho at the age of 6. When he was 14 years old, he met his wife, Carly. They were married in October 2006 and started their family. Carly had a daughter, 3-year-old Lyndsie, from a previous relationship. In 2007, Cecilia Rose was born. Then in 2011, along came his son, Jason Michael Jones Jr.

In 2018, Jason and his family were ready to put down their roots. Before moving the whole family, Jason started working in Dickinson. He made the sacrifice of only seeing them once a month, while Carly and the kids stayed in Spirit Lake. He was such a loving and caring father, sacrificing his time with his family to ultimately provide them with a better life. In 2018, that sacrifice finally paid off when the family bought a house and moved to Dickinson to be together. Carly’s dad, Larry, also moved with the family. Larry was able to spend his last few years with his daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren.

Throughout his life, Jason was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting, fishing, four-wheeling, and everything about the outdoors. His favorite place to be was in the woods.

Jason was one of the most loving and caring individuals you could meet. He always put his family first. If you were a friend in need, he would be the first to give the shirt off his back.

Jason is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Carly; his children, Lyndsie (20), Cecilia (15) and Jason Jr. (12); his father, Michael (Barbara) Jones; his mother, Robin (Jon) Stewart; his sisters, Brandie (Mike) Berish, Sarah (Andrew) Davis and their children, Charlie and Ashley; his older brother, Anthony (Rebecca) Jones and their children, Elizabeth and Kaydence; cousin Kyle (Bre) Gilbert; and countless other family members and friends.

Jason is preceded in death by his grandfather, Bill Jones; his uncles, Bob (Boxy) Jones and Darryl (Joy) Jones; and father-in-law, Larry Ernest.

Jason was taken far too soon. He is deeply loved and will be dearly missed.
