Vanessa Loper, 33

Vanessa Marie Loper, 33, of Wallace, Idaho, passed away Oct. 11, 2022, in St. Paul, Minn. Vanessa was born June 14, 1989, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

She graduated from Upper Columbia Academy in Spangle, Wash., where she participated in a mission trip to Borneo, Malaysia. Vanessa attended Boise State University in 2007 and went on to work as a tech for Vivint and travel.

She was intelligent, strong willed, spontaneous, independent, adventurous, fun, kindhearted, caring and giving. She had several interests that included feeding the homeless, caring for animals, cooking, reading and travel. She visited 39 different states and traveled throughout Thailand, Vietnam, Mexico, climbed Machu Picchu in Peru, and lived briefly in Australia.

Vanessa became a flight attendant in 2016, based in Minneapolis, Minn., and continued to travel to places such as Belize, England, Denmark, Paris, Amsterdam, and many more. She enjoyed going to Disney World, Harry Potter, and visiting zoos in other states.

She was a diehard Minnesota Vikings fan, absolutely loved animals, and had quite an extensive reading list. She frequently gave her food and clothing to the homeless, as well as kept water and granola bars in her car just in case someone was in need. Vanessa enjoyed many different things and was so full of life.

Granddaughter, daughter, sister, aunt and beloved friend, Vanessa is survived by her maternal grandparents, Tom and Margaret Reynolds of Osburn; mother and father Vern and Bridget Loper of Wallace; sister Sara Warfield; brother and sister-in-law Joe and Jody Murinko; nephews Brycen Macubbin, James Murinko and Steven Murinko; niece Leah Murinko; and many close friends.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Vern and Marge Loper.

Vanessa’s memorial service will be at noon Friday, April 7, 2023, at the Osburn Seventh-day Adventist Church.
