OSBURN — We are excited to announce that the Shoshone News-Press is joining forces with our parent newspaper, the Coeur d’Alene Press, to bring you an even more robust and comprehensive news experience.

Starting in May 2023, the Shoshone News-Press office in Osburn will be closed and it will combine its resources with the Coeur d’Alene Press to provide customers with the best of both worlds. Our readers and subscribers can look forward to an expanded product that includes even more local news, features and sports coverage, with a broader scope that now encompasses the Silver Valley, Shoshone County and Kootenai County.

Our dedicated journalists and writers, led by local editor Josh McDonald along with reporter Molly Roberts, will continue bringing you the same timely and relevant news stories, features and insightful content you expect from the Shoshone News-Press. But now, with the added resources and support of the Coeur d’Alene Press, we can deliver an even more comprehensive and in-depth news experience.

Moreover, our new subscription packages offer you unprecedented value and convenience. Beginning at $11.50 per month, you can continue to receive the Tuesday and Friday editions of the Shoshone News-Press, with home or mail delivery options still available. And for an additional $17.35 monthly, you can now receive the Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday editions of the Coeur d’Alene Press delivered to your mailbox.

This new subscription package gives you access to up-to-date news and information, including unlimited digital content for the Shoshone News-Press and Coeur d’Alene Press. This means you can stay informed and engaged with your community seven days a week, with in-depth coverage of everything that matters to you.

We understand that change can be difficult, but we are confident this new partnership will give our readers and subscribers more value and convenience. And rest assured, the familiar faces of the Shoshone News-Press team will still be here to serve you, with circulation manager Michelle Leavitt now handling marketing and advertising for businesses in Shoshone County.

Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to bringing you the best of local news and information from the Shoshone News-Press and Coeur d’Alene Press, now with even more comprehensive coverage and value. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact us at 208-752-1120.
