James 'Jamie' Matthew Miller, 44

| December 5, 2023 12:32 PM

James “Jamie” Matthew Miller, 44, of Pinehurst, Idaho, passed away Nov. 17, 2023, at his home in Pinehurst. James was born Oct. 19, 1979, in Spokane, Wash., a son of the late Edward Miller and Dixie Gipson Miller. James was our “Miracle Baby” weighing only 3 pounds, 3 ounces when he was born at Sacred Heart Hospital. He was instantly “Uncle Jamie” to many.

Jamie graduated from Kellogg High School and worked in construction, mainly roofing, for many years. Jamie passed along his knowledge of the roofing trade to his nephews. He was always the life of the party whenever he was with his family and friends. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping and boating. However, his activities were limited due to his illness, but he fought hard and did the best he could with his medical conditions.

He was a very generous person, had a caring soul and loved his family fiercely. Jamie will be missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Sandie; and two babies that he never got the chance to meet.

Survivors include his siblings, Mark E Miller, Sandra J. (Jim) Murray, Karen J. (Paul) VanWagner, Patricia Marie (John) Story, and Linda L.A. Miller; as well as nieces and nephews too numerous to count and many dear friends.

A memorial service will be held Friday, Dec. 8, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Silver Valley Worship Center, Smelterville, Idaho, where a potluck luncheon will follow.

Memories of Jamie and messages of condolence may be shared with this family online at www.shoshonfuneralservice.com. Shoshone Funeral Services, Kellogg, is assisting the Miller family with arrangements.
