KELLOGG — Senior Riply Luna scored 17 of his game-high 41 points in the second quarter to spark the Wildcats past the Hawks in a nonleague game at Andrews Gymnasium.
“Lakeland got out to a pretty quick start and hit a shot at the buzzer to go up after the first quarter,” Kellogg coach Mike Martin said. “And then Riply just kind of took over. We tightened up our defense and Rip really got it going and set the tone going into the second half.”
Riply Luna also had 10 rebounds for Kellogg, which has won five straight. Senior Kolby Luna had 13 points, five rebounds and four steals.
Kenton Ferguson scored 21 for Lakeland.

GRANGEVILLE — Riply Luna had 22 points, nine rebounds, five assists and three steals as the Wildcats overcame a slow start to beat the Bulldogs in Central Idaho League play.

“Once we settled in, we strung together some stops, got out in transition, and turned defense into offense,” Kellogg coach Mike Martin said.

OROFINO — Senior Kolby Luna had 23 points, including five 3-pointers and six rebounds for the Wildcats in a Central Idaho League win over the Maniacs.
Senior Riply Luna had 19 points, six rebounds, seven steals and five assists for Kellogg.
“It was nice to get a win when we weren’t at our best,” Kellogg coach Mike Martin said. “We had 15 turnovers and gave up 13 offensive rebounds. We just had some little things and weren’t great at the small details. But to get back-to-back road wins, that was really good.”

WALLACE — Kolby Luna had 21 points and 10 rebounds for the Wildcats in a nonleague win over the Miners at Kirby Krulitz Court.
Riply Luna, who scored 41 points in Tuesday’s game against visiting Lakeland, had 19 points, seven rebounds, six assists and four steals for Kellogg, which has won six straight games.
“The balance was nice to see and we had some guys hit some shots,” Kellogg coach Mike Martin said. “We hit nine 3-pointers and had 16 assists and we really got after it from the jump. It was nice to come and handle our business and continue the streak we’re on.”

“We played good, solid, man-to-man defense,” Genesis Prep coach Lon Morast said. “We played with a lot of intensity for the most part and played really unselfish basketball tonight.”

LEWISTON — Kellogg senior Jayce Garcia beat Grangeville’s TJ Fetters 15-5 in the 160-pound championship match, helping the Wildcats finish third at the Clearwater Classic at Lewiston High on Saturday.
Chase Scribner (106), Ricky Haralson (120 pounds), Jaeger Hall (132) and Ramsey Rainio (170) finished second, Kolter Wood (126) third for Kellogg, which finished with 165.5 points.
St. Maries senior Landon Warren was second at 285.
Weiser won the tournament with 254.
