STATE TIMBER SALE CR300696, TWISTED CEDAR A public oral auction will be conducted at the Idaho Department of Lands office, 1806 Main Avenue, St. Maries, ID 83861, at 9:00 a.m. local time, on Thursday, February 9, 2023 for an estimated 6,115 MBF of timber marked or otherwise designated for cutting. In addition, there is an unestimated volume of forest products that may be removed at the option of the purchaser. Prior to bidding, eligible bidders shall present a certified check or bank draft payable to Idaho Department of Lands, or a bid bond acceptable to the State, in the amount of $184,279.95 which is 10% of the appraised net sale value of $1,842,799.50. The successful bidder’s deposit will be forfeited to the State should the bidder fail to complete the contract. The State will not accept bids from parties who are delinquent on payments on existing state contracts. The average starting minimum bid price for Cedar is $745.00 per MBF and for Non-Cedar is $198.58.  The sale is located within Section 1, Township 41N, Range 4E; and Sections 1, 12, & 36, Township 42N, Range 4E, B.M., Clearwater/Shoshone Counties, State of Idaho. Sale duration is 4 years. SPECIAL EDUCATION RECORDS AVAILABLE For those students who were in Special Education in the Kellogg, Wallace or Mullan Schools through the year 2016, Silver Valley Special Services COOP will be destroying inactive special education files. Inactive special education files through the year 2016 are scheduled to be destroyed the first week of June 2023. Destruction of these records is the best protection against improper and unauthorized disclosure. Please be aware that if you have special education records on file with the school district, these records may be needed for Social Security benefits or for other purposes in the future.
