Community healing day planned in Kellogg

KELLOGG –– The Shoshone County S.A.V.E. Coalition will be hosting a community healing day inside the Kellogg City Park next week.

In the wake of several traumatic and unsettling events that have taken place in the Silver Valley over the past few months, the group decided that they wanted to host an afternoon event where people could come together, and enjoy the company of their neighbors in a positive and encouraging atmosphere.

The event will coincide with the first of six concerts as part of the Silver Valley Chamber's Music in the Park series and will provide resources and counselors to those who are struggling, as well as show support for the local first responders.

The event will include food, games, raffles, music and activities for all ages.

The community healing day is Thursday July 13, from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

S.A.V.E. stands for support, action, volunteerism, and education.
