Front Porch Conversations to continue with Kellogg mayor
KELLOGG — This week’s Front Porch Conversations speaker is none other than Kellogg Mayor Mac Pooler. Pooler’s talk will focus on the early days of Kellogg.
The speaker series is tied to the Smithsonian Institute’s Spark! Places of Innovation is a Museum on Main Street exhibition. The weekly event will continue to spotlight notable Kellogg residents for the next five weeks during the duration of the display. The grand opening of the exhibition resulted in over 100 people stopping by to view the display during Spark Fest on July 15.
Last week’s Front Porch Conversation featured former state senator Mike Blackbird, who shared stories from his childhood growing up in Kellogg, including floating down the river with friends when they required a little bit of adventure beyond the confines of the Kellogg swimming pool.
To attend the series, simply stop by 125 McKinley Ave. in Kellogg at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesdays.
