OLD RIVER ROAD: Needs attention from county
It’s great what the new county commissioners have come up with for parking on the river, and I agree with that, but it would be great if they would concentrate as much time to repairing the Old River Road.
Over the past year they have just stopped sending anyone up the Old River Road to do any repairs to the road. We have only seen one or two employees here and there. Also when they do rarely come up they will fix two potholes but then leave five in the same spot.
The Old River Road is a Forest Service Road that the Forest Service pays the county to maintain, whatever they are paying is too much. The county is not doing anything. The only thing I can think of is they must have a new road superintendent who just doesn’t care.
Hope the new county commissioners look into the problem before building a parking lot. All the county road superintendent and the county commissioners have to do is drive up the Old River Road, and they would know that something has to change. Thank you.
