CULTURE SHIFT NEEDED: Back to conservative guidelines

Well, the inevitable result of our nationwide free-for-all mindset has happened here in our little Silver Valley. A family of four, dead and the shooter’s family left without a father. I don’t know all the details.

What I do know is that sexual perversion is skyrocketing across this country, on the internet, TV, used as political leverage, infiltrating our schools, it’s everywhere! It’s an inevitable outcome when we dive into a place where family values and ethics are based on nothing. No guidelines, no limits, no God.

Our moral compass in America has always been based on the Ten Commandments. And I say the Ten Commandments because there has to be some sort of baseline moral standard.

Throw into the mix that we no longer live as “a family” where neighbors know their neighbors and meet, face to face. Have dinners together, meet in person in each others’ houses. It’s all a recipe for disaster and we’re reaping the outcome.

If we keep our current direction, without divine intervention and a moral compass it’s only going to get worse and really puts the entire weight of responsibility on us parents, now more than ever.

I am praying for a shift in our culture, back to conservative guidelines. We need guidelines, and we can’t have guidelines without a guide.

There is no such thing as immorality if we don’t have a tangible reference point for what is good and what is evil.

Every culture needs God.
