Erika J. Baillie, 44

Erika J Baillie, 44, died unexpectedly June 10, 2023, at her home in Boise, Idaho. She was born Oct. 6, 1978, in Coeur d'Alene, the daughter of Melvin J. Baillie and Karen (Harris) Shea.

Erika graduated from Kellogg High School, class of 1997 with honors, after high school she attended North Idaho College before marrying Michael R. Johnson on Jan. 3, 1998. They had two daughters together before the relationship ended. Erika went back to North Idaho College and graduated in 2013 to become a medical assistant.

Erika had a smile that would light up any room, a heart as big as the world, an animated personality and was loved by those lives she touched.

Erika was predeceased by both her grandparents, J Melvin and Evie Baillie, and Wilbur J. and Mrytle J. Harris; a cousin, Matthew Baillie Oberholtzer; and two uncles, Allen Harris and Ron Santi.

Surviving in addition to her fiance, David Cain of Boise, are her parents, Melvin J. (Alice) Baillie of Kellogg, and Karen (Bill) Shea of Osburn; two daughters, Michaela M. Johnson of Silverton, and Sarah J. Johnson of Moscow; sister Crystal J. Baldwin of Coeur d'Alene; brother Kendell (Maggie) of Silverton; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. as well as her dog, Rodney, of Boise.

A service of remembrance will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, July 1, at the Silver Valley Worship Center, 307 Main St., Smelterville, Idaho. Pastor Bill Howard will be presiding and a potluck luncheon will follow.
