Rhonda Kathleen Gunderson, 73

Rhonda K. Gunderson, 73, of Pinehurst, Idaho, passed away surrounded by loved ones June 19, 2023, at the Schneidmiller Hospice House in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Rhonda was born March 6, 1950, to Rosella and Ralph Thompson of Wallace, Idaho.

Rhonda married Darrell Gunderson on Aug. 15, 1970. Rhonda had three sons Curt, Mike and Rob. Rhonda loved to cook and worked at several restaurants in the Silver Valley before becoming the dietician manager for Mountain View nursing home in Kellogg. Rhonda retired after 20 years of service.

Rhonda enjoyed laughing and spending time with her family. Cooking, gardening and, of course, dancing were some of her favorite hobbies.

Rhonda is preceded in death by her husband, Darrell; her parents, Ralph and Rosella; and a brother, Tony.

She is survived by her life partner of 15 years Jim, McOuat; a brother, Dick (Judy); a sister, Rosalynd (Eric); three sons, Curt (Michelle), Mike (Flo) and Rob (Kenna); and six grandchildren, Richard, Austyn, Rylie, Dylan, Brayden and Bryce.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, July 1, 2023, at 2 p.m. at Shoshone Funeral Services in Kellogg. There will be a celebration of Rhonda’s life at the Kellogg Elks after a brief family graveside service at Greenwood Cemetery in Kellogg.
