Norma Ann Bordon McPike, 88, passed away Feb. 17, 2023, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Norma was born in Kellogg, Idaho, Aug. 22, 1934, to Italian immigrants Ermenigildo Bordon and Augusta Medvesig.
Norma graduated from Kellogg High School in 1952. She then attended the University of Idaho and graduated in 1956. She began her career as an elementary school teacher in the Los Altos School District in Los Altos, Calif., where she taught for 34 years.
She married Roger McPike in 1956 and they later divorced in 1971.
Norma was a volunteer at the Palo Alto Medical Clinic and she loved watching San Francisco 49ers and Stanford University football.
She is survived by nephews John Posnick of Osburn, Idaho, Steve Posnick of Mullan, Idaho, and Mike Bordon of Lebanon, Pa.; niece Andrea Bordon of Kellogg; great-nieces Angela Starkey of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, Lana Bordon McAlpine of Kelowna, British Columbia, Rachel Bordon of Philadelphia, Pa., and Caitlyn Bordon of Lancaster, Pa.; great-nephews Matt Williams and Jarrod Williams, both of Kellogg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother Elio Bordon, sister Della Posnick and nephew Brian Bordon.
A private family service will be held in July. Interment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery in Kellogg.
