Michael Williams (Bening), 85

Michael Jeanne Williams (Bening), 85, of Kellogg, Idaho passed away peacefully May 2, 2023, at Orchard Ridge Senior Living, Coeur d'Alene.

"Mike" was born April 9, 1938, to James and Virginia Bening(Taggert) at the Wardner Hospital. Mike graduated from Kellogg High School in 1956 and married Floyd Williams on Nov. 8, 1958. They resided in the Wardner/Kellogg area where they raised three children.

Mike grew up in the Silver Valley with a passion for music. As a child, she danced, sang, played piano and played French horn in the Kellogg High marching and pep bands. As an adult, she sang with the Lutheran Church choir and the local Sweet Adelines chapter. Mike served on the Kellogg City Council and was also an active member/past President of the Lady Elks. She liked to bowl and was on the Dick and Floyd's ladies bowling team. Mike thoroughly enjoyed spending time with family and friends and met regularly with her class of 1956 classmates.

Mike was preceded in death by her parents, husband Floyd Williams and sister Patricia Stempson.

Mike is survived by her three children, Beaver (Carol) Williams of Cataldo, Darin (Beth) Williams of Pinehurst and Darcy (Darrin) Parsons of Spokane Valley; six grandchildren, Derek Williams, Amy Williams, Grant Williams, Garrett Williams, Trent Parsons and Kate Parsons; five great-grandchildren, Kendall, Kimber, Hudson, Paisley and Olivia; sisters Vicki Shafer and Brenda Bening; and brother Frank Bening.

Cremation was held at Shoshone Funeral Services and a celebration of Mike's life will be held at noon, Saturday, June 3, at the Kellogg Elks. Everyone is welcome.
