Donna Rae Rude, 91

Donna Rae Rude, 91, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister of Osburn, Idaho, passed away May 18, 2023, at Silverton Health and Rehabilitation of Cascadia, Silverton, Idaho. Donna was born Dec. 31, 1931, to Ray and Mayme Anderson in a house they had built in Osburn.

After graduating from Wallace High School, Class of 1950, she worked for Shoshone County in the Auditor and Recorders Office. On May 31, 1952, Donna married John Rude and started her new career of being a mother and raising four children.

When her children were older, she went back to work at the Wallace Elks Club and then First National Bank Center, Dr. E.E. Gnaedinger (her favorite job), Dr. Faith and, lastly, the Kellogg Public Library. Out of all these though, the most fulfilling job for Donna was being a mother.

In addition to her parents, Donna is preceded in death by her husband, John Rude, and two sisters, Joyce and Charlene.

Survivors include her children, Dan, Jerry, Laurie and John Rude; grandchildren Curtis Rude, Jennifer Rude, Michael Rude and Zach Darrah; great-grandchildren Max Rude and Adam Rude; a brother, Charles Anderson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at 1 p.m. at American Lutheran Church, Kellogg, with a reception at the church to follow the services.
