Angie Louise Dennis, 49, of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, beloved mother, daughter, grandmother, partner, and dear friend to many, passed away Nov. 5, 2023, at her home in Coeur d’Alene after a courageous battle with cancer. Angie was born April 5, 1974, in Soda Springs, Idaho, to Rusty Short and Debra (Hughes) Cameron.

Angie graduated in 1992 from University High School in Spokane, Wash. After high school, she excelled in various professions throughout the years such as nannying, banking, and insurance until she decided to go back to school and pursue a career as an esthetician. She was also married to Shane Dennis for 8 years and raised two beautiful daughters, Chloe and Paytan.

Angie lived life to the fullest and enjoyed spending time at the ocean, sitting around a campfire enjoying a beer, going to concerts, and listening to her longtime partner, Kyle, play music. She enjoyed sharing a good meal with those she loved, whether it be Thai food, her favorite restaurant The White House, or something new. Above all, her family and friends, especially her two girls, were her pride and joy and she relished any time spent with them. She also adored her two grandchildren, Madysen and Rhett.

She is preceded in death by her brother, Timothy Peterson; paternal and maternal grandparents, Dick and MaryAnn Short and Max and Dova Hughes; father-in-law, Denny Swaffard; step-father, Bob Cameron; and beloved canine companion, Mocha Jane.

She is survived by her two daughters, Chloe Dennis (fiancé, Max Kilkuts), and Paytan Dennis; Angie’s partner of 18 years, Kyle Swaffard; her mother, Debra Cameron; father and step-mother, Rusty and Sharon Short; brothers Clayton (Megan, CJ, and Abbi) Short and Michael Short; step-son, Tyler (Brooke) Swaffard; grandchildren, Madysen and Rhett Swaffard; her mother-in-law, Joyce Swaffard; and her beloved chocolate lab Belle and nutty mutt Cooper.

A celebration of Angie’s life is being planned for the end of March 2024.
