KELLOGG — Maddie Cheney had 17 kills, six aces and three blocks for the Wildcats in a 26-24, 25-22, 7-25, 14-25, 16-14 loss to the Spartans in a Central Idaho League match at Andrews Gymnasium.

Brielle Hei had 16 digs, Emily Coe three blocks and Dani Hendrickson 14 assists for Kellogg.

Kellogg d. Wallace

KELLOGG — Maddie Cheney had 18 kills and six aces for the Wildcats in a 22-25, 25-16, 25-21, 25-7 win over the Miners at Andrews Gymnasium in the school’s Dig Pink breast cancer awareness match.

“We raised almost $1,500 for cancer research between the schools,” Kellogg coach Stephanie Batchelder said. “The energy was good on the court and in the crowd. Wallace was super scrappy and it was a good match for us.”

Macy Jerome had six aces, Emily Coe three blocks, Dani Hendrickson 25 assists, Paige Yrjana 22 digs and Brielle Hei 22 digs for Kellogg (10-4).

Tia Hendrick had 20 digs and five aces, Britany Phillips six blocks, Aubrey Birdsell 14 assists and Megan Hull seven kills for Wallace (21-3), which faces the winner of Tuesday’s Lakeside/ Genesis Prep match in the 1A Division I District 1 championship match on Thursday at North Idaho College.

WALLACE — Senior Tia Hendrick had seven kills and eight aces for the Miners in a 25-3, 25-8, 25-4 nonleague win over the Warriors on senior night at Kirby Krulitz Court.

Senior Britany Phillips had five kills and four aces, senior Aizlynn Vider six kills and five aces, senior Illiana Lewis six kills and five aces and sophomore Megan Hull 10 assists and sophomore Aubrey Birdsell 10 assists for Wallace.

MULLAN VOLLEYBALL

Lakeside d. Mullan

MULLAN — Sophomore Tylah Lambert had six kills, four aces, 25 assists and 10 digs as the visiting Knights swept the Tigers 25-14, 25-19, 25-22 in nonleague play at the Mullan Pavilion.

Kimberly Pluff added had seven kills, four aces and 25 digs for Lakeside. Martina Rivera had 25 digs, six kills and two aces, Kylee Shot With Arrow four kills, three blocks and two aces, Zymri Hodgson four kills and eight digs.

NOXON, Mont. — The Tigers, citing low numbers, canceled the remainder of their volleyball season on Thursday. As a result, Kootenai will face Clark Fork in the 1A Division II District 1 championship match Oct. 19 at 5:30 p.m. at North Idaho College.

MULLAN FOOTBALL

Mullan/St. Regis 46 Lakeside 30

MULLAN — Freshman quarterback Conner Lulis threw a pair of 50-yard touchdown passes in the first quarter for the Tigers, who clinched the North Star League title with a win over the Knights at John Drager Field.

Qwincy Hall ran for four touchdowns, three in the second half for Lakeside (3-5, 2-3), which travels to Clark Fork next Friday.

Mullan (7-1, 6-0) hosts Wallace next Friday.

KELLOGG FOOTBALL

Grangeville 46 Kellogg 6

GRANGEVILLE — The visiting Wildcats fell to 2-6, 1-2 in Central Idaho League play with a loss to the Bulldogs (4-3, 3-0).

Kellogg hosts Priest River next Friday in a nonleague game.

Grangeville, which clinched the league title with the win, is off until the opening round of the state 2A playoffs.

WALLACE FOOTBALL

Clark Fork 42 Wallace 8

CLARK FORK — The host Wampus Cats (3-3, 3-3 NSL) moved into second place in the North Star League with a win over the Miners (3-4, 2-4).

Clark Fork hosts Lakeside next Friday. The Knights beat the Wampus Cats 37-16 on Sept. 15.

Wallace (3-4, 2-4) travels to face Mullan/ St. Regis next Friday at John Drager Field in Mullan.

SILVER VALLEY SWIM TEAM

COEUR D’ALENE –– The Silver Valley Swim Team competed at the Post Falls High School Invitational at the Kroc Center. It was a great local showing for the team, competing against three larger schools, including Post Falls, Sandpoint, and Moscow.

The Silver Valley team set nine new personal records during the event including Bradley Stutzke (2:54, 200-yd freestyle), Aubrey Parks (:36, 50-yd freestyle), and the 100-yard freestyle five swimmers all set new records Annika Kessler (1:26), Gage Wood (1:14), Elliott Schmidt (1:02), Stutzke (1:18), and Avi Bosen (1:36).

Schmidt also finished the 500-yd freestyle with a time of 6:48

The Silver Valley Swim Team will now focus on their district meet in Moscow Idaho on October 28.
