Family: We are a blended family, and are known as “The Berry Bunch.” Together we have three children. Our girls, Sophia and Olivia, are both sophomores. Our son, Aaron is in the 8th grade. They all attend Wallace Jr./Sr. High School and are very active in sports and clubs. We also have two corgis, Ruthie and Betty.
- What experience has prepared you for this office?
From an early age, I recognized my strength of leadership. I got involved in clubs and organizations and haven’t stopped since. I have volunteered my time to numerous organizations and have sat on the board of many, such as PTO President, Co-Op Preschool President, and Alter Society Secretary. I have a passion to make things better, to listen to what needs to be done, and to make it happen.
- What is the No. 1 issue/problem you believe you will face if elected, and how will you resolve it?
The number one issue I foresee is not being able to make everyone happy all the time. However, if I am elected, I will do my best to understand, research, and ask appropriate questions to best make a decision regarding the issues at hand. I will use my lived experience and strong moral values when making decisions in regard to our community.
- What do you consider a top responsibility for the position you’re seeking?
My top responsibility as a Councilwoman would be to accurately represent my constituents. I understand that being voted into such a position is a serious responsibility and not something to be taken lightly. The issues at hand affect our town now and in the future.
- Why should voters choose you?
I would like voters to vote for me because I am a community-oriented individual. I am honest, reliable, and fair. I have our town’s best interest in mind and at heart. I am motivated to encourage growth while respecting the historic value of Wallace. My predecessors have done a good job getting this town to where it is today. I would be honored to continue that and serve the community of Wallace.
