CANDIDATE PROFILE – Kyle Ross, Pinehurst City Council, 4-year term

| October 20, 2023 1:00 AM

Full Name: Kyle Ross

Birth Date: 1/11/1991

Profession: Miner

Highest level of education completed: High School

How long have you lived in Idaho and in your city? I have lived in Pinehurst for 30 years

Marital Status: Married, wife Kattie

Family: We have two children who attend Pinehurst Elementary School.

  • What experience has prepared you for this office?

I have learned a lot through the experiences of the past two years serving as a current City of Pinehurst Councilman, but what has prepared me the most is being born and raised in Pinehurst. I loved growing up in our area and am now raising my own family here. I want my children to enjoy the same tight-knit community that I did.

  • What is the No. 1 issue/problem you believe you will face if elected, and how will you resolve it?

I believe the number one issue if reelected is to find a happy medium for the citizens of Pinehurst. Giving the citizens all the services of police, roads that are plowed, and parks for the children to play in while still maintaining the lowest tax levy rate for any city in Shoshone County.

  • What do you consider a top responsibility for the position you’re seeking?

The biggest priority is giving the taxpayers something to show for their money. Whether it be roads getting paved and plowed, law enforcement on the streets, or parks for safe places for the children to play, it is important to continue to spend the hard-earned money of Pinehurst citizens frugally and wisely.

  • Why should voters choose you?

Voters should vote for me because I’m not trying to make big changes to a fiscally responsible city or bring an agenda with me. I’m just here to continue to make sure this remains a place where I want to raise my children.
