LEWISTON -– The fifth-seeded Wallace Miners brought home the fourth-place trophy at 1A D1 State Tournament and finished with a 25-5 record for the season. 

Wallace was also the Scenic Idaho League and District 1 champions and navigated their way through a play-in game to qualify for the tournament. 

The Miners received the 1A D1 Sportsmanship Award at the state tournament. 

The fourth-place finish is the program’s best finish in several decades.

RATHDRUM –– The second-seeded Wildcats came out uncharacteristically flat during their opening match against Firth and then struggled mightily against Bear Lake at the 2A State Tournament. 

The Wildcats finished their season 12-6, winning the Central Idaho League and District 1/2 championships along the way.

The Wildcats have never made it to the trophy rounds in the program’s eight state tournament appearances.

2A State Cross Country Championships 


POCATELLO –– Kellogg senior Makai Peak finished sixth to earn medalist honors at the State Cross Country Championships at the Portnuef Wellness Center. 

Junior Brayden Lamanna (14th) and junior Colm McLaimtaig (18th) were medalists for Priest River.

Soda Springs won its second straight girls team title. North Fremont won the boys title.

Corbin Johnson (North Fremont) and Bella Spencer (West Jefferson) won individual titles.
