Ronnie Carlson, 85
Ronnie was born Oct. 12, 1937, to Anna (Cordes) and Rudolph Carlson in Warren, Minn. He passed Sept. 5, 2023, in Spokane, Wash.
After the family moved to the Silver Valley, Ronnie completed his education in Osburn and then Kellogg, Idaho, where he graduated in the Class of 1956. He began his electrical apprenticeship at the Bunker Hill Mine and married Bonnie (Pulliam) in February 1960 at the American Lutheran Church in Kellogg. The couple moved to Spokane where Ronnie worked as a Journeyman Electrician for Electric Smith, Valley Electric and Power City Electric. Ron was a loyal member of IBEW, local 73 and received his 65-year membership certificate and pin in 2022. Ron enjoyed watching old Westerns and following the Seattle Seahawks, Gonzaga Bulldogs and NASCAR. He also loved attending Spokane Chiefs hockey games and rodeos where his favorite event was Bull Riding. He was a gentle, selfless, caring man who loved his family and always put them first, before his own needs and wishes.
Ron is survived by his wife of 63 1/2 years, Bonnie; his daughter, Misty (Mike) Reynolds and son Russ (Barb) Carlson. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Alex (Lacy) Reynolds and Corbyn Carlson; his great-grandchildren, Kylie and Jace Reynolds; and his brother, Roger (Donna) Trumbull. Ronnie is preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph Carlson and Ann (Cordes-Carlson) Trumbull; stepfather Jim Trumbull; and brothers Darrel Carlson, Cork Carlson and Rudy Carlson.
The family is comforted by knowing Ron is in Heaven in the blessed presence of his Savior, Jesus Christ. The family invites you to join them for a luncheon/open house honoring Ronnie from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, 2023, at 6116 N.
