- Main priority if you are elected?

If re-elected, my main priority will be, to continue working towards getting the county back on track financially. When I was elected and sworn in (Jan. 2023), the new commission inherited a deficit. It has been my ongoing goal to seek out ways to generate revenue to fund the county, as opposed to property taxes being raised. I am currently looking into ways to generate revenue from out-of-county recreators. People, who come to Shoshone County to recreate, use our property and tax-funded services, such as road maintenance, EMS, Police, Solid Waste, etc. This expense should not be placed on the property taxpayers of Shoshone County.

- Notable/ relevant achievements you have earned or received

As a commissioner, I have helped transform our commission into the transparent commission we are today. We have all our hearings and meetings videoed and placed online for the public to view. Transparency to the public is very important to me, as commissioner I have been a part of transforming our commission into the transparent commission we are today. Our meetings are on YouTube for the public to view, the public can also participate via Zoom Meeting, and we also have an email roster to receive weekly BOCC Agendas.

- Endorsements

- Key issues associated with the position?

For every elected county official there is an Idaho code that governs that office. I believe one of the key issues as an elected official is to read, understand & follow the Idaho code that governs the office you hold. Failure to follow Idaho code could result in unnecessary liabilities, and burden taxpayers. It is important to me, to listen to public opinion, and bridge the gap between public and local government. I work for you, the taxpayers. I encourage the public to be involved as much as they can in our local governments.
