WALLACE –– A Wardner man was sentenced to 10 years in an Idaho State Correctional facility on Monday for sexually abusing a child.

Raymond Lee, 53, pleaded guilty to one count of felony injury to a child as part of a plea agreement with the state.

First District Judge Barbara Duggan sentenced Lee to 10 years in prison, the maximum possible sentence, with two years fixed and the remaining time indeterminate. That means Lee will be eligible for probation in about two years.

Prosecutors had recommended a 10-year suspended sentence.

Lee was charged with two counts of lewd conduct with a child under 16, a crime punishable by up to life in prison. In exchange for his guilty plea, prosecutors dismissed one charge and amended the other to felony injury to a child.
