KELLOGG –– It’s going to be a full day of celebration on New Year’s Eve at Silver Mountain.

According to Marketing Manager Gus Colburn, the resort has a full day of fun, family-friendly events scheduled for the last day of 2024.

“The day will start with the resort's ski area opening at its normal time of 8:15 a.m.,” Colburn said. “However, instead of closing at 4 p.m. the ski area will switch on the lights and offer night skiing until 6 p.m.”

Skiing and snowboarding won’t be the only thing you can do under the lights at the top of the mountain. Silver is running additional tubing sessions at 4 and 5 p.m.

“Tubing sessions are two hours long and include the gondola ride and access to the 640' long magic carpet ride to the top of the hill,” Colburn said.

The activities aren’t just limited to the mountain. At the base of the resort, Noah’s Canteen will be hosting its annual New Year’s Eve Feast, complete with prime rib and all the traditional holiday fixings. After dinner, guests can enjoy live music in the bar from Son of Brad from 9 p.m. until midnight.

Silver Rapids Waterpark will be open late with a fun indoor balloon release for kids and families to celebrate ringing in the new year.

Lift tickets can be purchased online or at the resort’s ticket booth. Special discounted tickets are available for those looking to get in on just the night skiing. Colburn advises that people looking to get in on the tubing action purchase their tickets in advance.

The New Year’s Eve Feast will run from 3 p.m. through 9 p.m. Silver Rapids will be open until 10 p.m., with the balloon release happening at 9 p.m.

“There is no shortage of events at Silver Mountain that will provide family memories for all,” Colburn said.
