Kellogg man jailed after explosive device destroys property

KELLOGG — A Kellogg man has been arrested after an incident in Kellogg involving destruction of property using an explosive device. 

Tristan Jay Baker, 18, of Kellogg, was arrested and booked Monday by Kellogg Police on charges related to the use of destructive device/bomb and misdemeanor malicious injury to property.

"Basically, somebody put fireworks in a mailbox," Chief Paul Twidt said.

The damage to the area appears confined to the mailbox, but Twidt stated, "it was quite an explosion."
