Blanche Arthur, 95

Blanche Jeweldean Arthur, 95, of Mullan, Idaho passed away December 22, 2023, at Shoshone Medical Center in Kellogg, Idaho. Blanche was born February 19, 1928, in Creston, N.C. to Clifford Ray Farmer and Ida Jane Sluder Farmer.                   

Blanche enjoyed gardening, visiting with friends and family, and taking great pride in her cookie jar collection.                             

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Edward Arthur, son, Herbie Arthur, 2 grandsons, Billy Castaner and Steven Arthur, brothers, Howard and Daryl Farmer and sisters, Phyllis Neaves, and Lois Nichols, Lenna Keys and close friend and companion Jim Muenzhuber.

Blanche is survived by 4 daughters, Linda Cortez of Walla Walla, Wash., Connie (Paul) Pitman of Mullan, Jessie (Jerry) Ploharz of Mullan and Brenda Jones of Spokane, Wash., 1 son Ray (Khristine) Arthur of Elko, Nev., 2 sisters, Eva Sue Weaver of Jefferson, N.C. and Pat Mahaffey of Creston, N.C., 2 brothers, RC Farmer of Mountain City, Tenn. and Tom Farmer of Creston, N.C., 18 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time. Shoshone Funeral Service, Kellogg, Idaho is assisting with arrangements.
