Kellogg banner design competition opens voting to community
KELLOGG — A contest to decide new banners to revitalize the city of Kellogg’s appearance has moved on to the voting stage.
Project Uplift Kellogg asks that residents choose their favorite design among the 25 anonymous pole banner submissions. Artists and graphic designers were able to submit multiple designs last year and now it's time for the community to select a winning look for the banners.
Voting closes Friday, Jan. 26, and unless there is a landslide winner in the first round of voting, the top three designs will go into a final round of voting from Jan. 29 to Feb. 2.
The revitalization project was funded by a USDA Rural Business Development Grant. The banners are intended to add local placemaking elements and will populate the uptown business district.
The artist with the community favorite will be announced no later than Feb. 5.
