Gary Naccarato Sr.

Sept. 28, 1939 — Dec. 29, 2023

Gary Naccarato Sr. passed away peacefully Dec. 29, 2023, surrounded by loved ones. Born on Sept. 28, 1939, in Priest River, Idaho, Gary will be remembered as a loving husband and father. His kindness, sense of humor, entrepreneurial spirit and lust for life will be missed by all who knew him. He loved people and would strike up a conversation with anyone, anywhere and at any given time, often leaving the moment having made a new friend.

After graduating from high school, Gary joined the U.S. Navy to travel the world. Upon his return, he married and began a family in Spokane, Wash. He spent his early years doing carpentry work with his father, hunting, fishing and skiing. He excelled at business and founded H&N Electric in 1979. Later in life, he moved to the Tri-Cities, Wash., to grow and expand his company.

When not focusing on his business, he enjoyed flying his plane, going to the movies, and taking road trips throughout the Pacific Northwest. Gary spent many hours in his boat fishing on the Columbia River or looking for clams and oysters on the beaches of the Hood Canal. After retiring in 2013, he would often vacation in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, eventually moving back to and settling down in Idaho’s Silver Valley. Gary loved cars, nature, his black Labs, tinkering in his shop, and exploring the local wilderness on his four-wheelers, always hoping to see elk, deer or bald eagles.

He is survived by Jane, his wife of 39 years, his daughter, Carolyn, son Gary Jr., stepdaughter Marisa and stepson Jeremy, his brother, Nick, and sister Carol. He leaves behind countless friends. Know how much he cherished each of you.

Our dear Gary Sr., rest in peace and comfort in the loving arms of God.
