Washington pair charged with trafficking meth in Shoshone
WALLACE –– A pair of arrests during a traffic stop on Thursday night yielded trafficking amounts of methamphetamine.
Deputies from the Shoshone County Sheriff’s Office seized approximately a half pound of meth during a traffic stop on Thursday. The occupants of the vehicle, Nora Rosner, 43, and Jason Schaller, 43, both from the Spokane area, were arrested.
According to SCSO Capt. Seth Green, the meth was reportedly scheduled to be delivered to residents in Shoshone County for personal use or further distribution.
Both Schaller and Rosner had their first appearance in Shoshone County court on Friday, where Schaller was charged with trafficking methamphetamine, driving under the influence, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Rosner faces identical charges sans the charge of driving under the influence. She also is facing drug charges for a separate incident that happened on June 5, in Kootenai County.
In Idaho, if found guilty, trafficking methamphetamine carries a mandatory minimum two-year prison sentence but carries a potential 15-year prison sentence and a $10,000 fine.
Both Rosner and Schaller will return to court on July 11, for preliminary hearings.
