Shoshone County looking for internet speed test participants
The Idaho Office of Broadband will be heading up challenge tests to the current official mapping of internet connectivity.
BEAD broadband connectivity funding prioritizes locations that have no internet access or limited access under 25/3 megabits per second and underserved locations that only have access under 100 download/20 upload rates of megabits per second.

WALLACE — As the state's Broadband Equity, Access and Deployment testing phase kicks off, Shoshone County is making a concerted push to secure critical internet infrastructure upgrades for its underserved communities.
Through June 30, the BEAD challenge process is gathering speed test data from current internet subscribers. Residents experiencing download speeds below 100 megabits or uploads below 20 megabits qualify, as do those denied service within six months despite being located in designated serviceable areas.
