Lynn Marie Sawyer, 67

Lynn Marie Sawyer, 67, of Kingston, Idaho, passed away June 15, 2024, at her home in Kingston. Lynn was born Oct. 5, 1956, in Kellogg, Idaho, to Thomas and Betty (Spencer) Sawyer. 

Lynn graduated from Kellogg High School and later went on to become a miner at the ColoWyo mine in Colorado. Many in Craig, Colo., also knew her as a bus driver. She later retired back to Kellogg, Idaho, where she took pride in living in her granny's house, which she put a lot of love and care into. Lynn enjoyed spending time outside. Her favorite flower was the bloom on a lilac bush. She spent many summers in Craig, Colo., at the lake and floating the river as well as time at the river in Idaho with family and friends. She had lots of friends she kept in touch with over the years, including her best friend, JoJo Gates. Lynn’s pride and joys were her two sons, Kyle and Kevin, and her grandchildren. She spent her last few years in the good company of her father, Tom and stepmother, Cindie. She had a contagious laugh and an amazing sense of humor. 

Lynn is preceded in death by her mother, Betty Sawyer and brother-in-law Gary Sieverding. Survivors include her two sons, Kyle Southard of Smelterville, Idaho, and Kevin (Cipriana) Southard of Billings, Mont.; her father, Tom (Cindie) Sawyer of Kingston, Idaho; her sister, Wanda Sieverding of Smelterville, Idaho, and nephew Brian (Michelle) Sieverding of Hayden, Idaho. Lynn is also survived by her stepbrother, Jaime (Elisha) Edwards of Pinehurst, Idaho; stepsister Dani (John) Reid of Kingston; her grandchildren, Thomas, Taelynn and Tanner Southard, as well as Chloe and Jaxon Mullenberg; as well as several other nieces and nephews. She also had many others in Colorado who considered her grandma. 

Memorial services will be held June 28, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Shoshone Funeral Services, 106 S. Main St. Kellogg, Idaho. There will be a gathering and lunch provided at Tom & Cindie Sawyer’s home after the services at 44350 Riverview Drive A in Kingston.
