KINGSTON –– On Thursday afternoon, deputies with the Shoshone County Sheriff's Office located a man who had been missing for roughly 12 hours in a remote area of the county.

Timothy Murphy, 49, was reported missing in the early hours of Thursday morning after his vehicle was found along Coeur d’Alene River Road with a flat tire.

According to SCSO Capt. Seth Green, deputies began searching for Murphy around 1 a.m. on Thursday near the Bumblebee Cutoff in the North Fork region of Shoshone County.

Reportedly, Murphy had gotten lost while seeking help for his vehicle and was very cold when he was found, but was in otherwise good health.

"A lot of times situations like these don't end well," Green said. "We're happy that we were able to locate him and that he is safe."
