Fernan Lake is considered a hidden gem, a nature's paradise east of downtown Coeur d’Alene. This small lake, spanning 381 acres, is bordered by steep terrain to the south and is a popular spot for fishing, swimming, boating, and sightseeing. The neighborhood features a mix of older homes dating back to the Carter administration and some newer constructions, embodying the Idaho spirit. Unlike new constructions today, much of the power lines are not buried. Residents are known for their friendliness and welcome new buyers who appreciate the community's values.

Environmental Concerns

Fernan Lake is currently experiencing severe algae blooms. These blooms can be harmful, potentially causing illness and even death to wildlife, livestock, and pets. Extreme caution is advised when engaging in water-related activities. 

In regards to the MLS zone, it is located in MLS 01-CDA Urban/Dalton. When compared to the rest of Coeur d’Alene, Fernan Lake is more affordable. In the last few weeks, the market has not changed much in terms of sales to inventory. However, inventory is sufficiently low to keep us in the Seller’s Market zone.
