Wallace (Jim) Capparelli, 86

| March 12, 2024 1:00 AM

Wallace Idaho (Jim) Capparelli passed away Feb. 16, 2024.

We were so lucky to have him involved in our lives for 86 years. He will be missed by all who knew him for his great personality and wit. You couldn’t walk away without him making you laugh either by his antics or his many jokes. He was a Silver Valley man through and through. He especially loved hunting, fishing, and all the outside things the valley had to offer. Lots of snow and snowmobiling with family.

He leaves behind his sister, Louise Graffenburger, son Jay Capparelli, daughters Corlena Erickson and Tammy Scheel, as well as his beloved grandkids. The last 28 years or so were spent with his “partner in crime,” Sharon, whom he met in Osburn 70 years ago.

He was a very talented man. He worked in the mines, logged with his brother, Art, did construction on the highways and was a great mechanic. He could take apart any engine and put it back together almost with closed eyes. His final job was working as a superintendent at the bus garage in Wallace, hiring drivers and making sure the school buses were kept in shape.
