Irma Pickard, 82

Irma Pickard, 82, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, died in the comfort of her own home March 17, 2024, in Cataldo, Idaho. Irma was born April 23, 1941, in Wallace, Idaho, a daughter of the late Ed and Iva (Savage) Beare. 

Irma had retired from Shoshone Living Center, where she worked for 20 years. While working there, she began the Red Hat Society and planned and executed many wonderful activities for the residents. 

Irma was a longtime Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints member in Pinehurst, Idaho. 

In addition to her parents, Irma is preceded in death by her son, Bart Edward Pickard, and two sisters, Willie Beare and Corrine Schlagel. 

Irma is survived by her husband of 61 years, John Pickard of Cataldo; son Chad (Becky) Pickard of Genesee, Idaho; two grandsons, Justin Pickard and Dallan Pickard, both of Bellingham, Wash.; and a granddaughter, Mattie Pickard of Miami Beach, Fla. Irma is also survived by her sister, Evalyne Powers of Kellogg, Idaho, and her brother Neil Beare of Pinehurst, Idaho.
