Shirley Ann Capparelli, 82

| March 22, 2024 1:00 AM

We regret to announce the passing of Shirley Ann Capparelli, 82, who passed away peacefully Dec. 23, 2023, in her home on Beaver Creek Road.

Shirley was a homemaker most of her life. When her kids were in junior high, she began driving the school bus for the Murray Grade School for 10 years. She then worked at the Northfork Cafe, where she made homemade soups and pies. When she had time, she cleaned houses for friends and neighbors.

In 1971, she moved to Beaver Creek with her husband and three children. She lived there for 52 years until her passing.

Shirley enjoyed all things to do with nature. She loved to keep her garden looking beautiful and her birds happy, and she had her flowers as pretty as they could be. Her favorite activity was camping and cooking breakfast over the open fire. She loved driving around in her motorhome, fishing in the river, taking walks, picking huckleberries and riding the four-wheelers with family. During the winter months, snowmobiling, packing in wood for her wood stove and snow-blowing her driveway were her favorite activities. Shirley loved to attend the church in Osburn with her sister, Blanche. She had an unconditional love for Jesus.

Shirley Ann Capparelli is survived by her sister, Blanche Adams, three children, Corlina Capparelli, Jim Capparelli and Tam Scheel with her husband Carl Scheel, six grandkids and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, Ralph and Helen Miranda, and her youngest sister, Janet.

She will be dearly missed by all who knew her, but her legacy will live on through her family and friends.
